Calendars, Calendars and more Calendars ...
(added December 15, 2009)

One of our end of the year outreach involves Scripture Calendars.  There are a several different types we give out and sell, but the ones we do most with are "page a day" calendars that have a Bible verse on the front and a meditation on the back.  Both kinds we have do a good job of presenting the Gospel message throughout the year.  They are a great way to get the Word of God into people's homes in a format they might actually read.

On Thursday December 10 and Saturday the 12th we gave away over 250 of the free Scripture Calendars in Domodossola and another city with some Swiss brothers that came down for that purpose. In the coming days we will also be giving to friends copies of the nicer Scripture Calendar that we sell at the book table.

Please pray that these calendars will be used throughout this coming year.

Christmas Outreach
(Updated January 7, 2010)

On Saturday, December 19 the youth group had a "craft" outreach at our book table.  They have made and received (Thanks, Dave & Tracey) quite a few crafty type gift items which they will sell at a minimal cost at our book table.  All the monies received from the sales were sent to an Evangelical orphanage in southern Italy.

Each person who purchased something also got a small thank-you/Christmas card with a brief explanation of God's gift to us that we remember at Christmas.

The best part of this outreach is that it was conceived, planned and run by the youth group.  It is great to see their enthusiasm to reach out to Domodossola!

THe outreach went well, despite a very cold and windy day.  They sold about half of the materials available and send over $130 to the orphange.

White Elephant
(updated January 7, 2010)

December 23 was be our annual youth Christmas party.  It has become quite a hit with our youth and their friends.  We already had folks asking some time back if we were going to do the "White Elephant" party this year.

While the turnout was not as large as we had hoped, all who came had a great time.

Thanksgiving Dinner
(added December 15, 2009)

Pictures now posted on the pictures portion of the site.

A big thank you to the three ladies that came to help with this dinner outreach.  Thank you also to those of you who kept this in your prayers.  While we did not have as many folks turn out for the dinner as we would have liked, there were 33 in attendance, and over half of these we folks who are not part of our church.

Everyone seemed to have a wonderful evening, and the food got the most important of favorable reviews - just about everyone came back for seconds. :-)  The ladies did a wonderful skit about the origins of Thanksgiving.  In inviting people to this, we were surprised to learn that most of the folks we invited had no idea that Thanksgiving was based around the concept of thanking God.

Please pray that the Gospel seeds that were planted that evening will find fertile soil, and that the memories of an evening shared together will help us as we build relationships of trust with those around us.

Church "Sala"
(updated December 15, 2009)

For the moment, we are holding our services in Davide & Alida's apartment.  While this is not an idea location (it not easily accessible, nor does it allow much room for growth), to date we have not found another option.  While we know that the Lord is not bound to work by means of a good meeting place, we do want to do our part to make sure that our meeting place is one that enhances our outreach efforts.

Please continue pray that the Lord would direct us to a place that will be a good and easily accessible meeting place, and one that allows room for the growth that we are praying for.  Pray that the Lord would give us wisdom, patience and unity as we continue to seek his provision of a meeting place.

Prayer Support

Prayer is vital to the work that is going on here in Domodossola.  Thanks to a family out west who now is praying for us weekly, we are now up to 82% of our desired prayer support!  Our target is an average of 100 people a day praying.

If you pray for us, but did not return a reply card (or a reply e-mail), please let us know so that we can include you in our prayer supporters.

WE NEED PRAYER SUPPORTERS!!!

Financial Support

Please continue to pray for the Lord's provision.  We have 81.1% of full support.  For more details please contact us.
