Our Support

As we travel to Italy to serve the Lord as church planting missionaries, we are only a small part of a large team.  We need supporters to pray for us, give financially, and encourage us.  Here are some ways that you can have a part in our ministry.  

And if you are already a part of our team - THANK YOU!  The ministry that the Lord does through us will add up to your "account".

Prayer Support

Our goal is to have, on average, 100 people praying for us each day.  We are currently only at about 83% prayer support.

Financial Support
(60%)

We praise the Lord that over the first half of 2011, we have seen the Lord provide some needed new financial support. This had looked like it was going to provide enough support that we could make it to our next time of home ministry assignment (estimated for late 2012).

However, due to the rapidly increasing costs of health care, our health insurance premium (actually a monthly contribution to CrossWorld's self funded medical plan) was increased by $440 a month effective September 1.

Humanly speaking - this could be a real problem. We do not have near enough support to be able to absorb an increase like this. But for the eleven plus years that we have been here in Italy, we have seen time and again the Lord provide for our support needs - often just in time.

So we are trusting the Lord to continue to provide.  For the moment, we still have funds available in our account the CrossWorld.  However when we project things out over the coming months, unless we the Lord provides some additional support, these funds will quickly be gone, leaving us with a growing deficit.  But we also expect to continue to see the Lord's provision in the coming months.  And so, having a sufficiency for this month, we will rejoice in His provision, be very content, and expectantly wait to see how He will provide.

But, since it is also useful to let people know of our needs, we will let you know that at the moment...

• We are about $570/month short of what we need to get through to our next time of home ministry.  This more or less applies to our current term (ending October 2012).

• Currently we are at 60% support.  CrossWorld recently reworked how our support is calculated.  We were then given a support range with  minimum and maximum support figures and are allowed to set our salary and housing within that range.  Our pledged support places us at 60% of the minimum support amount. 

• When we go back on home ministry next fall, we will be seeking to get our support up to this minimum support amount.

So, how can you help?

If you would like to help with our financial support, it is possible to do so in three ways:

• Pledged support  This would be an amount that you pledge to send in monthly, quarterly or even annually.  You would begin sending in these amounts as soon as you make the pledge.  If you want to support us in this way, please let us know so that we can update our figures.

• Advance support  For those who can not pledge or prefer to give one time gifts, It is possible to give a single gift towards our support for our current term.  For example, a one time gift of $220 would provide $20 a month between now and the end of our current term (estimated October 2012) If you would like to give this type of  support, please designate your gift as "advanced support" so we will know to use it in this way.

• Occasional gifts  Some people also send in occasional one time gifts.  These gifts can help with unexpected expenses or help us cover a shortfall in our pledged support.
